Junior Politician

All of this election business has sparked some political conversations amongst my children and other neighborhood kids.

"I want to be President," one little boy said.

"Why?"  my daughter asked.

"Because it's cool."

"I'll be Vice President," my daughter said.  "Because then I'll be President if something happens to you."  Then she added, "I want to make America a better place, too."

Well that's nice.

Then my son got in on the conversation.  "I want to be Speaker of the House.  Because then I'll be President if something happens to you and you.  And I'll make $8,000 a week."

That's what I call thinking like a politician!

  2. That's impressive that they knew that the speaker of the house would be president if something happened to the Pres and VP! And . . . the $8,000/wk is not bad either :) Very cute.

  3. Yeah that is impressive he knew that. I'll take 8 grand a week too, like his thinking.

  6. OK, I'm an idiot. I just gave you an award on my blog because apparently I am too blind to see that you already have the Versatile Blogger award. Oh well, you still deserve it. I'm keeping it up so maybe you'll get even more traffic to it :)

  7. I've never heard anyone say they want to be Speaker of the House. So cute. It shows he is learning in school.

    1. I was shocked that a first grader would know such a thing. I don't think I learned that until at least the sixth grade.
