Baby Faces Blogfest

Trisha at Words + Stuff came up with a really fun blogfest. It's the Baby Faces Blogfest.  Guess what's going to happen?  You're going to see a baby picture of me!  Isn't that exciting?  I can tell you're thrilled.

Okay.  Ready?  Here it is:

Baby Sherry c1972

How do you like my bonnet?  My mom told me she used to dress me in fancy dresses and bonnets every day.  She also said she used to change my outfits at least three times a day.

"Mom," I asked.  "Why would you do such a thing?"

"Because you were like a living doll.  I liked to play dress up with you."

Okay then.  I couldn't imagine having the time or energy to do that with my kids!

I will have you know, that I dress more sensibly now that I'm an adult.  I don't wear frilly dresses or bonnets. And I most certainly do not change my outfits three times a day!

One more thing:  In case you missed yesterday's post, I'm a guest over at greeting card designer, Tracy Campbell's blog.  There's a book give-away going on, so if you have a minute,  please stop by!

    1. It's hard enough changing kids into regular play clothes. I couldn't imagine what it was like to change me into fancy dresses all the time!

  11. You know the first thing I noticed about this picture (other than the bonnet)?? The fact that I can tell that baby is you! I think it's mostly in the eyes :)

Such a cute pic! Thanks for participating :)

    1. I do resemble myself, don't I? LOL! And actually, now that you mention it, I do think it has something to do with my eyes. Interesting.

Thanks for hosting this blogfest! It's been fun seeing everyone's baby pictures!

  14. I laughed out loud because that picture is just so darn adorable. I had three daughters and their mother used to dress them up so cute. After their mother left us, I continued to love to take my girls shopping and look for the cutest clothes I could find and they would help pick them out. I always thought they were pretty nicely dressed when they were kids. Now a couple of them have their own little girls to dress up and I'm sure they're having as much fun as I did.

  20. HA! Yes, your mom was apparently from a different time. My kids mostly just wore onesies because they were easy. Very cute though!

  21. Mom's just can't help dressing up their baby girls. That was one impressive bonnet!

  22. Sherry, trust me, it could have been worse. My baby face photo proves it. But yeah, I've got to admit... I kinda like you in that bonnet. :)

  23. I love the bonnet! I could see having done that once with my daughter, but I definitely never had the energy to dress her up every day. I feel like I should go get her a bonnet now... (she's 5).
