Mama Super Powers

Last night, I went into my son's room to tuck him in.  I noticed he wasn't in his bed.  I looked down at the ground and noticed a pair of feet sticking out from under the bed.

"Bubba, you can get out of there," I said.

He slid out.  "Mama, how did you know where I was?"

"I have super powers!"

"No you don't Mama, because you don't know what I'm thinking."

"What are you thinking?"

"It begins with the letter 'p' and it's something I really like."

"Pokémon?"

"Yeah!  How did you guess?"

"I told you.  I'm the Mama.  And mamas have super powers!"

(Speaking of super powers, I'm going to seriously need some.  It's been quite a challenge having my house ready for showings and keeping up with all my regular work.  If I skip a few days here and there, I apologize.  It's just because I'm ridiculously busy!)

  1. Great post Sherry, you must be so very busy right now. You come here if and when you can.

  2. Been there, done that. So many times. It can get wild when a realtor calls and says, I'm bringing people over in 10 minutes. I feel for you. I really do. It's so hard.

    Love,

    1. We had two showings today. It's insane trying to deal with that when I have a hairy, dirty dog living at my pad!

    1. I'm sure my hubs would love to see me flying around in a Wonder Woman outfit wielding a bottle of Lysol bathroom cleaner!

  4. Yes, I also vote for you donning the cape! The Wonder Woman wristlets are are also a nice accessory. I hope the next few weeks go quickly!

    1. Wonder Woman wristlets would be a nice touch! I too, hope this house sells fast, because I don't know how long I can deal with keeping this house sparking clean and in showroom condition on a daily basis!

  5. Cute post. You definitely need a superhero outfit. Something in your favorite colors. Maybe a logo with the letters S.M. for Super Mom!

  9. Your super powers to the rescue during the showings. I was just watching a TV program a few days ago about owners preparing their house for the buyer visits, I thought about you. Selling the house and moving can be really stressful.

    1. You're telling me! My kids are wondering why I'm extra grouchy - especially when I just cleaned something and one of them messed it up!

  10. Of course you have super powers! Bubba should wise up to this fact already. :P

Totally understandable about you being busy right now. Good luck not getting overwhelmed!

    1. My dad just came and got Bubba. Now at least I don't have to listen to my kids bicker! After this is over, I'm going to park myself in a hammock by the ocean and do absolutely nothing!

  12. I know EXACTLY what you mean. We live near Disney World, and every time people come to visit, life gets crazy. Last year we had at least one visit a month--this while trying to write, work and home school. It's a miracle I'm still kicking. ;)

You need the super power of "blink and it's clean," eh?

  15. I think moms have super powers, especially when their house is on the market. Such a stressful time. I hope your house sells quickly so that part of the process is done.
