You Tube Stupidity

My kids find all kinds of strange and bizarre things on YouTube. Here are some of the highlights I've seen over the past few years:

The Cinnamon Challenge:
Brought to you by none other than GloZell, the cinnamon challenge prompted my kids to attempt it themselves.  I quickly put a stop to it, before someone ended up vomiting all over my nice kitchen floor!

The Chubby Bunny Challenge:

Yep.  Brought to you once again, by GloZell.  (What's up with this woman?) My kids didn't even get started on this one.  Those chubby bunnies looked dangerous!  Which brings me to my next video:

Dumb Ways to Die:

I think they missed one on this.  They need to add, "doing the chubby bunny challenge," because shoving too many chubby bunnies in your mouth is definitely a dumb way to die!

  2. My kids love the song Dumb Ways To Die. I must admit, it is catchy. Stuffing a bunch of anything in your mouth? Not smart.

    1. Survival of the fittest. If people are stupid enough to do that, then they'll face the consequences!

  4. Oh my goodness- the Chubby Bunny!

  5. Everything I try to say must be erased Sherry, as young kids don't have the ability to know if something is a bad idea. I don't understand why some think this is funny. Warped humor?

  6. I remember the Cinnamon challenge craze. There are still so many youtube videos dedicated to that crazyness. Good call on keeping your kids from trying that one.

  7. Unfortunately, this is a fairly accurate reflection of where we are as a society. I am so disheartened.

    1. My husband and I were just talking about that the other day. In this age of the internet, there are so many things you can learn - like physics, and biology. But instead of looking at educational things that can help one's mind, people view stupidity like this. You're right. It is disheartening.

    2. Hey Dawna, I tried to comment on your blog, but something's wrong with the CAPTCHA image. I couldn't see the code, and therefore couldn't leave a comment.

  15. What is wrong with people? Do they have to wait until someone dies to realize they're tempting people to do something dangerous? This happened to some radio station where a women in a water-drinking competition died. So tired of people selfishly using social media for their pitiful 15 minutes of fame...

    1. That's crazy! Fifteen minutes of fame, then you end up buried six feet under!

  20. There are some really stupid Youtubers out there. My kids enjoy a couple guys who are, thankfully, not stupid, but just fun. The Slow-Motion guys, I think they're called. And Rhett & Link are hilarious.

  21. These are so silly. I've also seen the Mentos and soda challenge. I don't know why anyone would want to spit and vomit for public viewing.
