Ancient Mama

The other day, Richard had a question for Bubba. He wanted to know if he knew how old his Mama was. I figured he probably knew, because I just had  a birthday a couple of weeks ago. So I asked.

"Forty-six?" he replied.

"No, Bubba, I'm not forty-six."

He thought for a minute. "Oh, I know. A hundred and forty-six!"

"A hundred and forty-six?" I couldn't believe it!

"Yes, Mama.  You're ancient!"

So ladies and gentlemen, do you concur with Bubba? Am I one hundred and forty-six?

Thanks for your Bubba questions. I have a couple more to get answers for. It's been fun getting them! If you have any burning questions for Bubba, please put them in the comment section.

  2. No way! But the other day, I told my mom I was surprised the doctor I had as a teenager (same as hers) is still practicing. "He has to be really old." She looked confused and said, "No...he was probably in his 30s back then." I laughed. When you're a kid, it's hilarious what you think is "old!"

    1. It is funny what you think is old. I remember when my mom turned 40. I thought she was ancient, even though she still looked really young! :)

  4. Bubba must not have looked at Mama very closely! No way you look 46 so 146 is not an option.

  5. Hi, dear Sherry!

Not 146...not 46. 36 maybe... but that's a stretch. You look 26. The only way I'll believe you're 146 is if you stand in front of a mirror and I don't see your reflection. Lady vampires are always well preserved. :)

    1. You guessed it. I'm a lady vampire! And I'm 144! :)

Nice of you to say I look 26. Now I don't feel quite so ancient!

  6. Can you give me some of that fountain of youth potion if you are 146?

    1. The trick is, you need to be turned into a vampire. Then you'll look forever young.

  7. I'd hate to see how old he thinks someone genuinely 100+ years old is...LOL.

  8. Far from it. I remember thinking 30 was old back then.

    1. Honestly, I didn't think I'd live to be 40, because that seemed so old back when I was a kid. Now I'm past that, and still kicking! :)

  10. Kids don't know from age. They frequently try to guess mine, and their guesses are all over the place. No, you don't look 146.

    1. I'm always amused when people try to guess my age. The kids think I'm old, and the adults think I'm young. :)

  12. I sometimes wonder how old I look to other people or even kids. I don't feel nearly as old as I actually am.

  16. It's funny what we did think old was and what old is or isn't. Either way, love seeing your pic. I say not a day over 27.
