The Wish List

"Mama," my son, Bubba said. "If you found a bottle on the beach, and there was a genie inside who could grant you wishes, what would they be?"

I thought about that for a nanosecond. "Probably life-long good health and an endless supply of money."

He nodded. "Do you know what I would wish for?"

"What, Bubba?"

"I'd wish for no homework, an endless supply of money, and two more wishes."

Smart boy!

(What would you wish for?)

  1. Good health and wealth sound grand, or maybe the ability to always know the lottery numbers in case I run out lol

  9. Good health and money enough to be comfortable and to be able to help others. Then I'd wish the same for family and friends.

  10. I think that's why they now say, "and no wishing for more wishes"...

  14. Unlimited wishes or unlimited genies, depending on the rules. Unlimited money is at the top of the list too.

    1. Unlimited genies. Now there's a way to get around the "You can't ask for unlimited wishes," clause. ;0)

  15. One Wish: the power to influence others' will and minds to make them do as I wish.

Three Wishes: The above stated. Eternal Life for my wife and myself without pain or suffering of a physical or mental nature of any kind and the ability to end that when I see fit. And I would probably hold on to the last wish for sometime later.

  18. Smart thinking. Did you say, 'life-long good health'? How about 10,000 years of good health for all of your friends and family (and blogger buddies). Yes?

  20. He's a smart boy and I think when he's a teen, you're going to be in trouble.

  21. I'd probably want something irresponsible like a jet pack or a fire breathing housecat, which is the exact reason why genies avoid me.
