Bad Dog

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  I have two pictures, which equals two thousand words.

This is where I was last week:

And this is what I came home to:

  1. What a clever dog you have who can write.
Loved both pictures, grand to have you back.

    1. But did he have to go all over the house? It was in the basement, too! Ugh!

  3. Poor little Schultz was sick. There's no such thing as a bad dog.

    1. Schultz had plenty of opportunity to do his business outside. Not all over the living room floor, kitchen floor, and basement carpet. He was a bad dog.

  4. Did you add the pic to the dog shaming site? I've seen those compilations. I don't think the dog is a bit sorry, though.

    1. I should do that. I think he is sorry. He gave me the guilty look the entire day.

  5. Maybe Schultz was just sick from missing you. Great photos. Glad you're back.

    1. I don't know if it was that. Perhaps. We also had some big storms roll through, which he is scared of. Maybe that was some of his problem.

  6. Aw, that happens sometimes. When something changes in their daily routine. I don't think he liked it that you were away;) Luckily you didn't have to clean it;)

    1. I'm sure he didn't like that I was away. I'm glad I arrived at the tail end of the situation. I knew there was a problem as soon as I walked in and saw my husband wearing a gas mask.

  7. Didn't you want a dog on the beach with you? I'm use to coming back to pets leaving signs of their displeasure.

    1. No. No wet, stinky dogs on the beach with me. I'm not sure what his problem was, but doing that was just ridiculous!

  8. It's that look. Of course he's sorry! Maybe he got scared being in the house alone - was he alone?

    1. No, he wasn't alone. My husband was with him the entire time. (Except for when he went to the grocery store.)

  9. the second pic won't open for me, hope he didn't bring back a dead bird!

    1. No dead bird. He pooped all over the family room floor, kitchen floor, and basement carpet. (He's pictured lying next to a sign that convicts him of his crimes.)

  10. Oh man. The guilty look on his furry face is priceless though.

  11. Hi, Sherry!

Knowing where you guys live, I suspect you either went over to Tybee Island, Hilton Head, or maybe Myrtle Beach or even down to the Florida panhandle to Panama Beach.

I gotta hand it to your dog Schultz. He might have been a bad dog and pooped on the carpet and floor, but he's a dang smart canine to be able to compose such a nicely worded confession letter! :)

Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Sherry!

    1. I went to Hilton Head. Yes, the dog is brilliant. I think he spells better than a lot of people!

  12. But he writes a good apology, doesn't he?

  13. I can say, "Poor doggie. They should give you a treat because you are so sorry." I say that because it's not my dog. I'm a sucker for sad dog faces though, so I might even say that to my dog.

  14. But his eyes say he's really truly sorry.

  15. Bad boy!? Did daddy remember to take him pottie before he went out?

  22. I laughed way too hard at this. I know this all too well. As I once tweeted, according to my Fitbit I just scrubbed dog diarrhea out of the carpet for 0.9 miles.

I wouldn't wish that upon anybody.
