I've always been an emotional basketcase when it comes to sappy movies. Today my daughter and went to see The Last Song. I was very upset when it was discovered that the likeable dad character had cancer and was going to die soon. "Those poor children, " I thought, "they're going to lose their daddy!" Then I started crying. It got even worse when the guy finally did die - it was a classic sit in a chair, at the end of a lovely song knock over a glass of water and die. Then I was just sobbing. My daughter looked over. She wanted to know what had happened. "He died," I stammered.
"But mom," she said as she comforted me,"it's only a movie!"
