Where's my dream destination? That's really a tough one. There are so many interesting places to see in this world, that it's hard to choose just one. I love Paris, because there's always something new to see or do. And I really like Cozumel, Mexico for the SCUBA diving. But I'm going to say my dream destination is Bora Bora. Doesn't it look just heavenly?
So how about you? What's your dream destination?
One more thing: Yesterday, my son informed me that jellyfish are immortal, which is true. Then he said lobsters were immortal. So I had to look it up. And guess what? He was right! Here's the article: http://voices.yahoo.com/lobsters-immortal-7446390.html.
Lobsters live forever as well? Who knew?
ReplyDeleteBora Bora would be nice. Didn't scuba dive, but I have been to Cozumel.
I wonder if Bora Bora has million-year-old lobsters. ;0)
DeleteThat would be a beautiful place to visit.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if trees are considered immortal?
I don't think so, but it might be interesting to research.
DeleteIt looks so beautiful there! Take me with you... ;)
ReplyDeleteOkay. Let's go!
DeleteCalgon take me away!!!
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly!
Deletebora bora is the place to go, we never can seem to get there though
ReplyDeleteMy mom has been there, and she says it's heavenly!
DeleteI could go with Bora Bora, particularly this morning as the cold north wind beats against my window panes. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm sure everyone in the Midwest and north would agree with you!
DeleteDream destination: a road trip with friends to the US from the East Coast to the West..
ReplyDeleteThat would be fun! I've always wanted to do that.
DeleteBora Bora sounds nice
ReplyDeleteIt sure sounds good right about now!
DeleteBrazil is my place to go
ReplyDeleteI've never been there, but I'd like to see it.
DeleteHusband and I would love to play in that water and look at that view. I actually heard a show on NPR about the incredibly long lifespan of lobsters. The host didn't go so far as to say they were immortal, but did say they didn't know how long lobsters lived because they age soooooo slowly. The thought of a prehistoric lobster still possibly living today (although what are the odds with predators--like humans?) is mind-blowing!
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder how old the lobster sitting on your dinner plate is!
DeleteOh it does look beautiful!! The sky and water look so stunning, almost the same gorgeous color. Thanks so much for taking part in our Hop.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I have to go read about the lobsters LOL. Who knew?
Thanks for hosting the blog hop, and congratulations on the release of your book!
DeleteInteresting article, Sherry, perhaps a little lobster DNA would help our cosmetics. I, for one, think Immortality might come to 'been there, done that'. Would we be bored after hundreds of years?
ReplyDeleteMy choice of destination for your blogfest - Portugal. (My heart belongs to Paris, but my head wants to see more and more of other places.)
Portugal would be an interesting place to visit. My mom went there a long time ago.
DeleteI'm not too interested in immortality, either. One hundred years is quite enough.
Seems like a pretty nice game to play Dream Destination
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun reading everyone's dream destinations!
DeleteWow that does look beautiful, put me down for there too!
ReplyDeleteDana says she wants to go, so you can come with us!
DeleteI like that picture. It looks heavenly.
ReplyDeleteMy mom stayed in one of those huts. They have a section of the floor which is glass, and you can look down and see the fish swimming in the water. Very cool!
DeleteGood choice! I don't think you'd ever be bore-bored in Bora Bora. Especially if you took Bubba with you. No telling what other revelations he might have for you.
ReplyDeleteCould you imagine a vacation in Bora Bora with Bubba? No doubt he'd be looking for immortal lobsters.
DeleteI very nearly chose Bora Bora too! I really want to stay in one of those huts over the water. It looks so exotic. And I also recently watched the movie Kon Tiki about that part of the world. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteMy mom stayed there, and she told me they have glass floors in the huts so you can look down and see the fish.
DeleteSigh, just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAnd wow, I guess there is one perk to being a lobster or jellyfish. Knew it would have to be huge if it would balance out being-- a lobster or jellyfish!
I'd be bored out of my mind being an immortal jellyfish, bobbing around forever!
DeleteThat's two for Bubba. My dream destination is England.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
England is a great place. I love the gardens!
DeleteYes, Bora Bora does look heavenly. In fact, I'm feeling a tad stressed out at the moment, and I'd love to be able to just dive into that photo! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm very intrigued about the jellyfish and lobster immortality fun fact. I'll definitely be checking out that link!
Maybe you can go to Bora Bora and find some immortal lobsters and jellyfish. ;0)
DeleteI had to look it up -- I'd heard of it but had no idea where it was. French Polynesia. (Now I have to look up where that is. lol) I love the pic and think it does indeed look heavenly.
ReplyDeleteThe article about lobsters was amazing. It's so cool. I wanna be a lobster and live in Bora Bora! Thanks for joining the bog hop. :-)
Ha! Living in paradise forever! Hopefully you wouldn't have to worry about predators!
DeleteGood choice. Bora Bora looks peaceful and relaxing and so beautiful.
ReplyDeletePerfect for escaping cold winters!
DeleteOh my gosh! I haven't heard Bora Bora in some time! That just seems like a place where you can de-stress!
ReplyDeleteTotally! Let's go!
DeleteBora Bora sounds wonderful!!! And lobsters live forever? Who knew? Pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder how old the lobsters I've eaten were!
DeleteBora Bora is a beautiful destination! Thank your son for the interesting facts about jellyfish, and lobsters! I really learned a lot on Julie and Lexa's Blog-Hop!
ReplyDeleteJulie
I love this blog hop, because it's so fun to see all the beautiful places in the world!
DeleteWow, Bora-Bora sure does look amazing. And who knew that about jellyfish and lobsters? Although they can't really be immortal because then how could people eat them?
ReplyDeleteRight. If they didn't have predators (like us), they'd live forever.
DeleteOoh, Bora Bora does look like a beautiful place to visit!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to pack my bags and go!
DeleteI have not heard the place Bora Bora...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely exotic dream destination!
ReplyDeleteBora Bora would be spectacular. As long as I could stay in one of those little huts on the water. That would be awesome. Plus, since it's only -11 degrees here right now, BB would be an excellent choice.
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard that jellyfish and lobster thing. That is really cool.
Brrrr! It's cold at your pad!
DeleteAnything with sun and water has my attention :)
ReplyDeleteAll of a sudden I can hear the music from South Pacific.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo! I'd love to go to Paris, but I'm not much of a beach or hot weather person. Your son is smart!
ReplyDeleteOoh, Bora Bora. Excellent choice -- and sounds just perfect on this dreary day in the Chicago 'burbs.
ReplyDeleteThat totally freaks me out about lobsters & jellyfish!
That does look like paradise, I must say! And now I'm going to have to go read about these lobsters...
ReplyDeleteIt's calling to me, looks so blissful.
ReplyDeleteThe things we learn from kids.
xoRobyn
Wow, what a gorgeous photo! It looks so peaceful and relaxing….
ReplyDeleteWow... I want to go to Bora Bora simply based on that gorgeous photo...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I had friends who went, and they highly recommended it. Okay, I'm drooling a little now. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh! Now I want to go! let me get my flip-flops and sun hat! (it's freezing rain here) New follower!
ReplyDeleteBora Bora was my second dream destination. :D It's so beautiful. Love the beaches, the huts on stilts. Imagine napping inside with the smell of the ocean caressing your nose. *dreamy*
ReplyDeleteBora Bora really should be on my list too, especially after seeing your photo.
ReplyDeleteBora Bora does look amazing. I have The Maldives on my Travel Bucket List. It looks similar, but the history and culture of those places is amazing.
ReplyDeleteBora Bora would be a fantastic place to visit! Lovely pictures. Makes me feel warm and toasty (briefly).
ReplyDeleteThe Warrior Muse
Bora Bora? The name alone sounds exotic and mysterious... and this looks like the perfect getaway... tranquil... therapeutic... *sighs*
ReplyDeleteWriter In Transit
Bora Bora just sounds so exotic, doesn't it? And jellyfish are immortal? Yikes! Lobsters, ok. I don't mind lobsters!
ReplyDeleteToo bad I can't swim. I think much of Bora Bora would be wasted on me. Still the views are breathtaking.
