Share Your Thoughts Blog Hop

Jamie Ayres is celebrating the release of her book, 18 Thoughts, with this cool blog hop.  Participants are supposed to list thoughts that they live by.  If you're really ambitious (which I am), you can name 18.  Congratulations, Jamie!  And here are my 18 thoughts:

1. Work hard

2. Do my best

3. Be kind to others

4. Keep learning

5. Lend a helping hand

6. Think before I act

7. Speak the truth

8. Be a good example

9. Set goals

10. Learn from mistakes

11. Teach others

12. Be grateful

13. Count my blessings

14. Love my family

15. Encourage others

16. Give back

17. Keep trying

18. Dream big

What are some thoughts you live by?

I'm still trying to decide what to post for this on Monday, so I'm glad several of you have already posted. Gives me ideas.

  2. Great list. Maybe I should add work hard(er) since I only put one thought on my page.

  3. What a great blog hop. I loved reading about your 18 thoughts. They show that you are not only ambitious, but that you have good moral values as well. The only thing I'd add to the list is 'being focused'. I'm still working on that, but it pays off ;-)

    1. Being focused is really important. That's a good one for the list!

  4. Just do it! Okay, that's a slogan for a shoe company, but you know what I mean. I try to tell myself to stop worrying about how my book is doing and just keep moving forward. It's too easy to obsess!

    1. "Just to it!" is one of my philosophies, too. If you think about things too much, you can talk yourself out of doing them.

I think for me, it's analyze all advice given and apply what is applicable to gain improvement.

  8. Great list. I would add to believe in myself because I think I and many writers struggle with that.

    1. True. Receiving rejection letters certainly doesn't help. But you really do have to believe in yourself. Otherwise it's too easy to give up.

  12. Wow, I only shared one thought (in a few different ways). I love your Dream Big! Definitely the way to make things better all around. I also like how you focus on being a good person. Way to go. Good luck to Jamie, too!

  13. Dream Big is definitely one I try to live by the most. I figure becoming a NY Times Bestselling Author isn't totally unrealistic since I do write novels, right?! Thanks for playing <3
