Jamie Ayres is celebrating the release of her book, 18 Thoughts, with this cool blog hop. Participants are supposed to list thoughts that they live by. If you're really ambitious (which I am), you can name 18. Congratulations, Jamie! And here are my 18 thoughts:
1. Work hard
2. Do my best
3. Be kind to others
4. Keep learning
5. Lend a helping hand
6. Think before I act
7. Speak the truth
8. Be a good example
9. Set goals
10. Learn from mistakes
11. Teach others
12. Be grateful
13. Count my blessings
14. Love my family
15. Encourage others
16. Give back
17. Keep trying
18. Dream big
What are some thoughts you live by?
Amen! Those are great.
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to decide what to post for this on Monday, so I'm glad several of you have already posted. Gives me ideas.
Can't wait to see your list!
DeleteGreat list. Maybe I should add work hard(er) since I only put one thought on my page.
ReplyDeleteHa! But your thought was a good one!
DeleteWhat a great blog hop. I loved reading about your 18 thoughts. They show that you are not only ambitious, but that you have good moral values as well. The only thing I'd add to the list is 'being focused'. I'm still working on that, but it pays off ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeing focused is really important. That's a good one for the list!
DeleteJust do it! Okay, that's a slogan for a shoe company, but you know what I mean. I try to tell myself to stop worrying about how my book is doing and just keep moving forward. It's too easy to obsess!
ReplyDelete"Just to it!" is one of my philosophies, too. If you think about things too much, you can talk yourself out of doing them.
DeleteGreat list and bloghop idea indeed. Mine is always do it and its done, well at least that is one
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely good at doing it and then it's done!
DeleteExcellent List! It's quite inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI think for me, it's analyze all advice given and apply what is applicable to gain improvement.
That's a good one. It's not always easy filtering through all the advice.
DeleteEveryone should live by your thoughts, Sherry.
ReplyDeleteI like to think the world would be a better place if we all did.
DeleteGreat list. I would add to believe in myself because I think I and many writers struggle with that.
ReplyDeleteTrue. Receiving rejection letters certainly doesn't help. But you really do have to believe in yourself. Otherwise it's too easy to give up.
Deletehope you manage to stick to all of them :)
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteSo many great thoughts! Those are hard to top, I think...
ReplyDeleteAs Peaches said, we should all try to live by them.
DeleteGreat thoughts!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGreat thoughts to live by
ReplyDeleteDoing them all the time is the trick!
DeleteWell, I try. It's just doesn't always happen. But those good thoughts are in my mind. Hope that counts!
ReplyDeleteYes. But if you keep working at it, these things become habits.
DeleteAwesome thoughts to live by! :)
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of us think like this.
DeleteWow, I only shared one thought (in a few different ways). I love your Dream Big! Definitely the way to make things better all around. I also like how you focus on being a good person. Way to go. Good luck to Jamie, too!
ReplyDeleteYou have to dream big. It gives you something to reach for!
DeleteDream Big is definitely one I try to live by the most. I figure becoming a NY Times Bestselling Author isn't totally unrealistic since I do write novels, right?! Thanks for playing <3
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Keep working, and hopefully someday you'll get there! Thanks for hosting the blog hop. Congratulations on your book!
DeleteThose are great thoughts. I strive to live by the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
That's a wonderful thing to live by!
DeleteI'm similarly adventurous and will also list 18 ;)
ReplyDeleteI loved yours, they're very concise.
Can't wait to read your list!
DeleteCongrats to Jamie! Great hop. #4 is so important, but these are all great.
ReplyDeleteLearning makes life interesting. We should never stop!
DeleteValues of good human being.
ReplyDeleteWe should all live by good values!
DeleteGreat thoughts to live by. All of these bar no 9 (set goals) would also make my list.
ReplyDeleteI'd be curious as to why #9 wouldn't be on your list.
DeleteYes, Yes, YES! Awesome list, Sherry. Well said!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYou did a great job on the list Sherry.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deanie!
