In case you don't know, Schultz is our hundred pound German Shepherd. He likes to chase things. Especially cats. So when he saw a roll of wrapping paper on the ground that had cute little cats in Santa hats, he knew he had to chase them.
It began with him trying to tear them to shreds.
Then the paper unrolled - all the way across the family room floor. He pounced on the paper, trying to stop the perceived fur ball invasion. The ordeal ended when the wrapping paper was nothing more than a few slobbery shreds.
"Are you pleased with yourself, Schultz?" I asked, after witnessing this nonsense.
He wagged his tail and trotted off.
Apparently he was. Mission accomplished.
Hi, Sherry!
ReplyDeleteOur dog Toto loved the excitement of Christmas. When it came time for the family to unwrap presents she was Little Miss Nosey, poking her proboscis into every package, assuming they were all for her, and tearing at the pretty paper. Your story about Schultz brought back happy memories of the 14 Christmases Toto enjoyed with us.
Happy holidays, dear friend!
It sounds like Toto was an entertaining fur ball. They certainly do get excited about tearing apart wrapping paper!
DeleteHappy Holidays to you, too!
yes, so brave attacking kittens with no claws....
ReplyDeleteHe wouldn't dare do that with Bootsy!
DeleteHaha... oh my gosh, that must have been hilarious to watch... :-) ... Not a lot of fun to clean up though xox ♡
ReplyDeleteIt was a mess!
DeleteThat's funny! I hope that roll was the only one with cats on it... Maybe buy a more pc paper (nothing that could antagonize your doggy) from now on. lol
ReplyDeleteI wish you and your family Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous 2016! :)
Yes. Note to self: No more kitty wrapping paper!
DeleteHave a wonderful 2016, Lexa!
I wish you had gotten a video!
ReplyDeleteMe too. That would've been funny!
DeleteLoved to have seen that Sherry.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
It was entertaining!
DeleteI had to laugh as his chasing of paper put me in mind of our .... cats.
ReplyDeleteYes. Usually it is the cats that are chasing things like that. Our cat has no interest in such things - just our nutcase dog!
DeleteMission accomplished, lol :
ReplyDeleteHe did a good job!
Deletelol no cat invasion is going to get him, even paper ones
ReplyDeleteHe was doing a stellar job as the guard dog!
DeleteThis sounded so frightening to Miss Karma she had to go lie down and take a nap. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I don't blame her!
DeleteLeave it to Schultz not to let a cat go unpunished.
ReplyDeleteCan't have extra cats in the house!
DeleteIt's always fun to watch a dog having fun. Those cats must have had no chance.
ReplyDeleteNo. Those cats most definitely did not have a chance!
DeleteHahaha! That's so funny, Sherry! Would love to be at the scene. Sorry for the long absence due to my trip to Eastern Europe. Time to catch up. Hahaha! Merry X'mas, dear! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt was really funny! Glad to see you back! Hope you had a Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
DeleteMy cats will do nothing more than chew the ends of rolled wrapping paper. I've never seen one in shreds. Schultz seemed satisfied.
ReplyDeleteSchultz has a very big mouth with very big teeth! That wrapping paper didn't have a chance!
DeleteThis must have been hilarious to watch.Though maybe the cleanup wasn't as fun with all that paper ripped to shreds. :)
ReplyDelete~Jess
Cleanup was not a pleasure!
DeleteNow, that would have been quite the video to upload to YouTube!
