IWSG Question of the Month

I can't believe another month has just rolled around! January was insanely busy. Just finished another move. Hopefully, that will be it for a while. And Bubba just got a job as a chef at a restaurant. A big step up from McDonald's! You may remember from stories from a few years back how much he enjoyed creating interesting culinary concoctions. Let's hope he sticks with the book, or guests will get some interesting sensory experiences!

Today's IWSG question of the month is:  Blogging is often more than just sharing stories. It’s often the start of special friendships and relationships. Have you made any friends through the blogosphere?

Why, yes! I'm sure this answer is true for so many of you. I met my publisher through blogging. And both of my editors. Not to mention so many incredibly supportive friends!  Thanks to all of you for your friendship over the last 15 years. I've been through a lot in my personal life. Some of you know about it. But even the ones who don't know, you have been there through the years, and it's always been nice coming here to reconnect with you, even if at this point it's only once a month. You all rock!

Now for your entertainment:  I've been working on making a CD of violin/piano music. My accompanist and I videoed one of our rehearsals. If you'd like to hear a song, go here

  1. Cool that you recorded music. I'll go listen to that next. The blogging world is a great place for writers to make connections. And, congrats on the husband's new job.

  4. What a gorgeous tone you have, Violinist Sherry! Yes, I made a few blogging friends, though my blog never had the outreach yours has. It's basically a few (but loyal) group of readers, and I have found I enjoy posting and reading posts.

    1. For me, participating in the A-Z challenge helped get a lot of friends. I haven't done that in many years because of time constraints, but I am very grateful for the friends I have!

  7. What a beautiful piece you played. When I was only six, my grandfather gave me a violin and for a few years I played. Somehow along the way, I veered away from playing, and I've always regretted it.

    1. The violin is a difficult instrument to play. I've played 30 years, and I still don't play perfectly!

  10. Hi, Sherry!

Yessum, January was insane - period. I didn't know you were moving again. I hope you like your new surroundings and can stay put a while longer. Hats off to Bubba. I certainly do remember all of your posts telling us about your son's culinary adventures. I played your video and was touched by the beauty of your playing and that of your pianist. I might add that you also look "fit as a fiddle."

Thank you for visiting Shady's Place today and enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Sherry. I wish you and your loved ones health and happiness as together we plow through the second month of 2021.

    1. I'm out of the apartment now, and I have my own house. I like it! It's a little expensive at the moment because of all the repairs I have to do, but it is nice not having neighbors rumbling around above me!

  22. Do you like to play modern music and hits on a violin? Can you earn money that way? I still remember lovely Lettice Rawbottom from Britain's Got Talent and her modern violin performances.

    1. Honestly, I haven't done much of the modern-music playing. I play contemporary Christian music for church and I'm making a CD of it, but most of my music is in the classical genre. That's how I earn my money—performing and teaching.

  27. CONTACT DR. DAVID NOW FOR SOLUTION TO ALL YOUR PROBLEMS

After being in a relationship with MARTINS for seven years,he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and she suggested that I should contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that don’t believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I meant a spell caster called Dr DAVID  So i email him, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made a promise that anybody I know that has a relationship problem, I would be of help to such a person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem and who is different from all the fake ones out there. Anybody could need the help of the spell caster, his email: awesomespelltemple@gmail.com or WhatsApp him +2347040654140 you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or anything.
