A Little Toe Wiggling

This morning, I was standing at the bus stop with my son at the crack of dawn.  The sun wasn't even up.  And it was freezing!  Of course standing around doing nothing makes it even colder.  So I decided to move a little.  It started with rubbing my hands together real fast.

My son gave me the evil eye.  "No, Mama.  You can't do that in public."'

I looked at the kid and started jumping up and down.

The boy frowned.  "You can't do that either."

I made a face and started wiggling my toes.  Bubba noticed.  We both laughed, but Bubba didn't approve.  "No, Mama, You can't wiggle your toes in public, either.  It's so embarrassing!"

(Who knew wiggling your toes in public could be a source of embarrassment for a kid?  I'll have to do it more!)

  1. I can sympathize with being cold and I don't blame you for making sure that your toes are moving. Jumping up and down is necessary in those circumstances. I can just picture Bubba blushing!

    1. I'm not too worried about Bubba being embarrassed. I'd be in big trouble if I had embarrassed my daughter! ;0)

  7. Hahahaha. Apparently it's not cool to draw attention. But who cares about being cool when it's freezing outside, right? I'm with the others. If it's embarrassing the kid, I'd probably antagonize him further by bursting into disco dance.

    1. My daughter has found me to be embarrassing for a long time. So I'm kind of used to it. If you're not used to it though, it's going to be a shock. Good luck!

  14. Surely one of the advantages of being a parent, an aunty in my case, is embarrassing the little darlings. Keep up the good work and carry on wiggling is what I say.
