"Mama," my ten-year-old son said. "Can we get a pet tiger? Two of them?"
I looked at that kid. "Excuse me?"
"Tigers are cute. And they'd be good house guards," he explained.
"What about Schultz (our German Shepherd)? He's cute. And he's a good watch dog."
Bubba shook his head. "Schultz is too friendly. Tigers would do a better job."
Right. Does anyone know where I can get a "Beware of the Tiger" sign?
lol...your kid is smart :)ReplyDelete
I have no idea where he came up with that one!Delete
lol Schultz would be tiger chow.ReplyDelete
I think you're right. He might be able to handle one tiger. But two? No way!Delete
Yeah, no more Schultz!ReplyDelete
That wouldn't work!Delete
Well...Bubba isn't exactly wrong, LOL. Might be hard to train a tiger to do what you want, though! XDReplyDelete
You'd need a lot of treats!Delete
And get a good trainer as well for tigers who don't devour their masters. HahaReplyDelete
Tiger trainers are probably hard to find!Delete
You can always "Adopt" a tiger with the charities that appear on the TV.ReplyDelete
That's a thought. We've "adopted" animals through the World Wildlife Fund. Maybe we'll adopt a tiger through it.Delete
Yes. I couldn't have said it better!Delete
Would really up the pet food billReplyDelete
No kidding! I'd hate to see how much having a pet tiger would cost!Delete
Tiger is one of the family of cat, so you can adopt cat instead of tiger.ReplyDelete
We have a cat - Bootsy. Bootsy would probably scare the tigers. He's pretty ferocious! :)Delete
Me. 150% me. I used to BEG my mom to let me get a tiger. She would say no because it might eat me, so I said we could keep it in the backyard and I would just throw food out the door until it was full so then I could play with it. I also wanted it as a cub first so I could train it.ReplyDelete
Haha! Nice logic! I'm assuming you never got a pet tiger. :)Delete
Hey you know what... If you could somehow train the tigers not to attack you, he may be onto something...ReplyDelete
Sure. Properly trained tigers would make excellent house pets. ;)Delete
I know crime rate has gone up but I think dogs will still do for a "Watch dig". His concerns are genuine though. LOLReplyDelete
I'm not planning on getting rid of Schultz any time soon. So the tigers will have to wait!Delete
Tiger cubs are cute- though not much of a watch animal at that point. Once they are full grown they are too dangerous. They could keep all of you from entering your house! Maybe you can dress Schultz up as a tiger one day. ;)ReplyDelete
He'd probably eat the tiger costume!Delete
Makes sense! I sense a middle-grade story premise;-)ReplyDelete
Hmmm. I'll add it to my collection of ideas.Delete
Hahahaha! Makes sense.ReplyDelete
