Marshmallow Paint

We recently painted my son's room. And you know how nice freshly painted rooms smell.

This morning, when my son came downstairs after spending the night in his room, he had a very interesting comment.  "Mama, they should make marshmallow paint."

"Marshmallow paint?" I asked.

He nodded. "Marshmallow paint would smell much better!"

(I agree. I think they should make chocolate cake paint, too!)

Today's Bubba question of the day comes from Chrys Fey.  She wanted to know what Bubba would do if aliens invaded Earth. Here's Bubba's answer:

"I'd hide in the attic."

"What if they find you?" I asked.

"They'd never find me. Nobody goes in the attic!"

Okay.

After a moment of thought, he offered another option:

"Or I'd buy an island in the middle of the ocean which could not be detected from space and hang out there. I'd probably find more things to eat and not have to starve if I did that."

If you have a question for Bubba, please leave it in the comment section.

    1. The money issue was my next question, too. I'd say he shouldn't worry about buying one, and just find it. :)

  2. Peanut butter paint! I could handle that.
You have money for an island in your attic? Can I clean your attic?

    1. Maybe I should clean it if there's money hiding up there!

  3. Bubba is too cute... I want paint to smell yummy too... ♡

When I said I didn't want to wait to date... I meant the longer I stay away, the easier it would be to convince myself not to try... It's easy not to try sometimes... even if I don't like being single...

    1. Okay. My dad is kind of in the same boat. Being single isn't the worst thing in the world. It's definitely better than being with the wrong person!

  4. I hate the smell of paint. I would by paint that smells like marshmallows!

I'm honored that he answered my question. I like that I stumped him just a little bit since he gave two answers. ;) He's a very clever boy. That's for sure!

    1. I'm impressed that he thought about the food situation. He knew the aliens would catch him as soon as he raided the refrigerator! Thanks for your question!

  5. I do know they make peach fragrance paints for walls

    1. Do they really? The only problem with nice-smelling paint is that it'll make you want to inhale it, which probably isn't a good thing.

    1. I'm not a fan, either. I'm always worried I'll miss a spot.

  7. Hi, dear Sherry! I'm actually surprised that paint doesn't already come in a variety of enticing designer fragrances. Ever been to a Scentsy party? Room fresheners, candles, laundry and hand soaps, shampoos, lotions, perfumes and cleaning products all come in a mind boggling variety of scents. Why not paint? Actually, I just noticed that Glade has developed a paint additive product that you mix with interior latex paint to give the room a fresh scent. It comes in french vanilla, cashmere woods and clean linen scents. The problem is that it wears off after a few months. Then what? You need to paint the room again?

Remind Bubba that if he hides from aliens on an island in the middle of the ocean he needs to be able to make fire in order to cook his Bubba Burgers. :)

I enjoy your posts, dear friend Sherry! :)

    1. I have been to a Scentsy party, and they do have an amazing variety of scents! I did not know about Glade's paint additive. They must be on the same train of thought as Bubba.

The fire thing could be a problem. Aliens will be able to spot that. He may have to forgo the Bubba Burgers until he figures out a way to make the aliens go away - without being detected, of course!

Glad you enjoy the posts! It's so good to read your comments!

  8. The paint idea, he might just be on to something. Its fresh, pun intended.
Please let Bubba know that I think he's such a delightful boy, he should have his own blog in due time!

  9. Yes, I do hate that paint smell. I wonder if Bubba will come up with a different answer after giving the aliens some more thought.

    1. Who knows? I think his main plan is to avoid them. It's probably what I would do, too.

  10. LOL, what a clever idea! I'd never be able to invest in marshmallow paint, though, since...uh...marshmallows nauseate me. *shifty eyes*

    1. I'm not sure I would select "marshmallow" as a scent, but I definitely like the concept!

  11. I remember using salt-lemon-vinegar to absorb and diffuse paint smells pretty quickly. I have a question for Bubba. If he does ride a time machine, which era and where would he go? :)

    1. I never heard of the salt-lemon vinegar trick. We have more rooms to paint, so I'll have to keep it in mind What do you do with it? Put it in a container and keep it in the room that's been painted?

I like your question. We'll see how he responds.

  14. I'm sold on chocolate cake paint! Keith gave me a chocolate layer cake Yankee candle and I love how it smells in the whole room even when it's not lit ;)
So cool that Bubba answers blogger questions now :) :) Love his answer that he would hide in the attic :D The island is a really cool idea.
Have a great rest of the week!

    1. Those Yankee candles have some really good smells. I didn't know they made a chocolate one.

I think these blogger questions are kind of fun. I've been enjoying the process of asking and getting an answer.
