That’s what
Bubba and Squirt find when they travel through the mysterious vortex for
another wild adventure. There they meet archeologists who are unearthing
priceless artifacts.
But someone
is stealing them. And an encounter with the Tate Duende awakens magic within

That sounds like a good soup to try.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your big release tomorrow!
The recipe from your book - of course!
ReplyDeleteBig day tomorrow and we get to share another Bubba & Squirt adventure with the world.
Yay! I haven't kept track of sales, but at the end of the day on the 15th, it was number 37 in Latin American Folktales. That's pretty good!
DeleteThe sounds like a great soup!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
It's pretty tasty if I do say so myself. :)
DeleteSounds like a great recipe. Congrats on your new book!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Natalie!
DeleteBrava for the new book. It deserves more than a Taco.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite latin food is one I became fond of in Argentina, called Dulce De Leche. There are decent recipes on the inter-webs, though I confess I haven't made it at home.
I think I've had that. It's a desert, right? From what I remember, it was good!
DeleteI bet there are nasty bugs in the jungles of Belize...
ReplyDeleteYes, there are. The mosquitos feasted on me when I was there.
DeleteCongrats on the release. I'm not a fan of Latin-flavored anything, so no fave recipe. I bet there'll be a lot of good ones going around today, though.
ReplyDeleteI saw quite a few good ones that I will have to try!
DeleteHi, Sherry!
ReplyDeleteI am very happy for you, dear friend! Congratulations on getting your latest Bubba & Squirt adventure book into the marketplace. I wish you much success with it.
I clicked to enlarge that picture of chicken tortilla soup. It looks delicious! I asked Mrs. Shady to name a Latin flavored dish she prepared that she knows I loved. She reminded me of the fish tacos she recently made. I also recall going to a Mexican restaurant and savoring whitefish served on a stand.
Enjoy this exciting week, dear friend Sherry!
Thank you! I realized after I originally posted this, that the link to the recipe wasn't working. I fixed that. So if you revisit and you want the recipe, you can get it.
DeleteEnjoy your week as well!
Congrats on the new release!
ReplyDeleteCan't say I've ever even tried such flavors.
Yep. Canada is a bit further removed from Latin America, so it's probably not seen on menus much.
DeleteCongratulations Sherry on your new book, I'm sure it will be a huge success. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Thanks, Yvonne!
DeleteI remember eating in a local restaurant in Tegucigalpa, Honduras where the meal was essentially boiled yucca root and fried fatback. I don't remember what it was called but it was filling even if not the most healthy meal I'd eaten.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your book--another to send to a grandchild!

Boiled yucca root and fried fatback. Was it good?
DeleteThanks for getting the book for your grandchild! I hope he/she enjoys it!
Congratulations, Sherry!
ReplyDeleteI just ordered my copy from Amazon. Can't wait to gift it to my grandson for Christmas.
Blessings,
Tracy
Thank you, Tracy! Big hugs!
DeleteA dish i'm sure Mr T would enjoy. Best wishes for the book, I'll be sure to give it a shout on my FB and IG pages.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Felicity!
DeleteCongratulation for your new book....
ReplyDeleteChicken Tortilla Soup look so appealing...yummy
Thank you!
DeleteCongrats on the release of your new book! I hope Bubba and Squirt share lots more adventures in the years to come. Your series is a definite winner!
ReplyDeleteThat chicken tortilla soup sounds yummy. One of my favorite Latin-type food is quesadillas filled with shrimp, spinach, mushrooms, pickled red onions, and lots of cheese. Deliciously decadent!
Take care, and have a super weekend.
Your quesadillas sound delicious! Maybe I'll have to try concocting them.
DeleteToday is a good soup day and this sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you on your latest release. Looking forward to sharing Bubba and Squirt with my blog readers and joining the fun!
Best of luck!
~Jess
Congratulations on your book release...so exciting.
ReplyDeleteI love a good soup this time of year.
Autumn is a great time for soup. This one warms your insides, too!
DeleteLooks like a great new book. I love the idea of using foods from the area to promote your book. Empanadas are definitely my favorite of those foods.
ReplyDeleteI am excited for the upcoming YA scavenger book hunt (YASH), and for the Pass or Pages query contest at Operation Awesome with the YA category this October. I hope you've been staying healthy and thriving as best as you can this year. Having a new book out certainly seems like a great tribute to the year!
