This month's question is, "Have you ever participated in National Novel Writer's Month? Why or why not?
No, I'm afraid I haven't participated in the Nano challenge. It's a good thing and can result in a very productive month of writing. I just don't have time. Maybe if I ever retire...
Have you participated? Were you successful at completing the required number of words?
This month I took a mega vacation. It was a celebration of our first anniversary. We visited Seattle, Vancouver, Victoria, San Francisco, Tucson, and Salt Lake City. I think I need a vacation from my vacation!
Other cool news: The Bubba and Squirt books are going to be available as audiobooks! The narrator is an awesome 12-year-old British actor. So excited about this!
Here are a few photos from the trip:
November is too busy for me to consider Nano. Sounds like you had a whirlwind trip. Those are some nice cities.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fabulous trip! Visited many places I haven't seen before.
DeleteYou had a lovely holiday - I hope you've recovered from it now.
ReplyDeleteI did NaNo once and completed it but felt flat at the end of it as there was no follow up. I don't know what I was expecting, really.
I thought there would be some recognition for having completed it. It's quite an accomplishment!
DeleteThat's awesome you went on a big vacation to celebrate your anniversary. I don't have time for NaNo either.
ReplyDeleteIt was a memorable trip!
DeleteThat sounds like quite the trip. I hope you had a blast. And yeah, you always need a vacation from the vacation.
ReplyDeleteTell me about it! My vacations are never about sitting around and relaxing. We have to pack in as much as possible!
DeleteThat looks like an awesome trip! Worth missing IWSG day for.
ReplyDeleteIt was one of the most memorable vacations I've taken!
DeleteYou had quite a trip. I've enjoyed the photos on Fb. That's exciting news about the Bubba & Squirt books.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
The first audio book should be ready soon. I can't wait to hear it!
DeleteSure looks like a great trip and you went all over indeed. Great news on your books too. Never wanted to bother with nano here.
ReplyDeleteNano is a lot of work!
DeleteI thought the mermaid was a big statue....
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend
That's the Girl in a Wetsuit. Not the famous mermaid statue in Denmark. Looks a little like it, though!
DeleteGorgeous photos. NaNo can be fun, but it can also be stressful if it doesn't line up with your goals. For me, this year, it just doesn't match what I want to do.
ReplyDeleteI think that it's amazing that you've participated. Kudos to you!
DeleteYour post is a masterpiece—brilliant, insightful, and thoroughly engaging. Thanks for sharing your valuable perspective with us!
ReplyDeleteNo, no and NO. I say no to NaNo. A short novel in 30 days? Pheh. That's not writing in my unhumble opinion. Might as well let AI do this sort of job, and I dare say, in thirty minutes.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos.
Haha! I'd say a short novel in 30 days is a tough order! I can barely get one out in 10 years!
DeleteHope your audio book launch went well! I haven't dipped my toe in that yet.
ReplyDeleteThe launch happens soon. I'm really looking forward to hearing it!
