Breakfast of Champions

I came downstairs yesterday and found my daughter holding a can of Reddiwip whipped cream.  She had just pulled out a cereal bowl and was getting ready to spray the whipped cream in it.

"Excuse me," I said.  "What do you think you're doing?"

"Making breakfast."

I looked at the clock.  It was noon.  "Breakfast?  Girlfriend, it's lunch time, and Reddiwip is absolutely unacceptable.  You need a well-balanced meal!"

"But Mom, it is well-balanced.  It has milk which means it covers the dairy and protein food groups."

Oy!  Don't you just love teenager mentality?

    1. Right. Like chocolate is a bean, so it has to be good for you!

  5. If it has enough milk percetage-wise, I'd agree, but there's also a heap of fat and sugar isn't there?

  8. I think she's on to something! My daughter (20 something now) would have done exactly the same thing in her teens. Matter of fact, she'd probably still do it now. :)

  12. Tell her to add some sliced banana next time and she'll also have the fruit category covered.

  13. Technically, she's right. I agree with Susanne, throw in some fruit and she's good to go.
