Daddy's Got Talent

So, my husband has decided he is going to audition for America's Got Talent.

"Wait a minute," I said. "You've got talent?"

After living with him for over 15 years, I had no idea.

"Yeah. I've got talent."

"Doing what?"

"Singing."

I looked at the guy. I've heard him on occasion singing in the shower, and let me tell you, it's nothing to write home about.

"You sure about that?"

"Yep."  Then he showed me a video. "This guy is my inspiration."

I watched as an 82 year old dude audition on American's Got Talent. My jaw dropped to the floor.
"Uh, okay."

You can see the video here.

The thing is, I can totally see my husband doing what the old dude did.

  2. Hi, Sherry!

That performance by 82 year old John Hetlinger proves that you are never too old to be young. John has decided to keep on rockin' and I admire his spirit and spunk. I intend to do the same thing and maybe your husband does, too.

Thanks for the entertainment, dear friend Sherry, and enjoy the rest of your week!

  4. It takes some nerve at that age to do what that gentleman did. Do you think your husband will follow suit?
I love watching Britain Got Talent over here, will look out for your husband on U TUBE.

    1. That's exactly the kind of music my husband likes, so I could certainly see him doing that!

  5. LOL, out of all the songs that guy could've sung, I definitely wasn't expecting that one. Love it. XD

  6. I saw that on the show - dude is awesome! Not a great singer, but no one expected that song to come out of his mouth.

    1. I know. We all expected something like Frank Sinatra.

  9. Oh my word! I was literally expecting what Simone was, a Frank Sinatra type. Not that! Ha ha! I am slightly worried if your husband is going to sing like that though in an audition. That can easily go either way, ha ha.

    1. An old guy can get away with it. My husband might have to wait a few years.

  12. A shame I can't for some reason open the clip.

I fancy myself as a bit of a singer also though I am in fact tone deaf and, at the moment, my voice box for some reason inflamed, with little or no voice to speak with let alone sing with.

    1. I've lost my voice, too. I've been sick for about a week. Maybe we can go onstage and be the Voiceless Wonders.

  13. Well that was a surprise! I was not expecting that singing at all. I like his gusto- but not sure I would want to listen to the song for too long. :)

  18. Well, that 82-year-old blew me away! I think he needs to re-think his talent priorities. Stick with Hubble repair.

    1. I just hope his Hubble repair abilities are better than his singing abilities. ;-)
