Flying Mama

I bet you didn't know I could fly.  I can.  It's my new-found talent.  What?  You don't believe me?

Let me tell you the story.  Last night, when I was tucking my daughter into bed, my husband came into the room.  "Do you want to see me lift Mama?" he asked.

I gave him a look.  "I don't think I need a lift," I said.

Of course both kids squealed with delight.  "Yeah, Daddy.  Lift Mama!"

I sighed.  "Fine.  But it won't be much of a challenge because I'm such a feather weight." (I am.  Even my eleven-year-old daughter can lift me.)

My husband picked me up, and the next thing I knew, I was flying through the air.  I landed in the middle of the bed.

"What the heck?"  I said.

My husband grinned.  "Next time I'll send you to the moon!"

Oy!

  3. Cute! And I'm jealous. I don't like it when my husband tries to lift me, lol. I'm a fit girl, but I'm solid, and it's kind of embarrassing when he tries.

  6. I flew up the stairs years ago when then Little Hurricane told me that Favorite Much Younger Man had clogged the second floor toilet and was about to flush it. I landed just in time to see the look of horror on his face as the toilet overflowed.

    Love,
    Janie

  7. You should be so lucky:-) I can't remember the last time my husband lifted me (actually, I can but it's soooooo long ago) I would love to have him pick me up again but then again . . . his knees couldn't stand it, whatever the weight . . .

    1. Be glad he can't lift you. It's a little disconcerting to fly through the air!

BTW Sherry -- How do you get your comment section to allow you to reply to each message personally? I searched Blogger today but couldn't figure it out. If you see this, can you maybe let me know on my blog if you remember? Thanks!!

    1. I"m not sure why mine allows for separate comments. I've seen others that don't. Is your blog set up through blogger?
