Trisha at Words + Stuff came up with a really fun blogfest. It's the Baby Faces Blogfest. Guess what's going to happen? You're going to see a baby picture of me! Isn't that exciting? I can tell you're thrilled.
Okay. Ready? Here it is:
Baby Sherry c1972
How do you like my bonnet? My mom told me she used to dress me in fancy dresses and bonnets every day. She also said she used to change my outfits at least three times a day.
"Mom," I asked. "Why would you do such a thing?"
"Because you were like a living doll. I liked to play dress up with you."
Okay then. I couldn't imagine having the time or energy to do that with my kids!
I will have you know, that I dress more sensibly now that I'm an adult. I don't wear frilly dresses or bonnets. And I most certainly do not change my outfits three times a day!
One more thing: In case you missed yesterday's post, I'm a guest over at greeting card designer, Tracy Campbell's blog. There's a book give-away going on, so if you have a minute, please stop by!
So cute! You do look like a living doll!ReplyDelete
Happy a great Sunday. :)
Er...HAVE a great Sunday. ;)Delete
LOL! I'll have a happy one, too!Delete
haha who needs a doll when they've got you. You look happy at least.ReplyDelete
I have to wonder what the photographer was doing to make me smile!Delete
Oh Sherry, you were such a beautiful baby, and still are, (not that you're a baby anymore). LOLReplyDelete
Thanks for linking my blog again, today.
Thanks, Tracy! And thanks again for having me as a guest. I hope it results in some greeting card sales for you!Delete
You certainly looked like a doll. Your mom loved you very much. You're lucky you had so much attention.ReplyDelete
Yes, I most certainly am lucky to have such a loving mom!Delete
What a cutie pie! Seems like a lot of hard work changing outfits 3 times a day! I'll check out your link now :)ReplyDelete
It's hard enough changing kids into regular play clothes. I couldn't imagine what it was like to change me into fancy dresses all the time!Delete
What no bonnets now? ah, you are missing out on the latest fashion craze ...ReplyDelete
Visiting from the Baby Faces Blogfest.
Give me a visit at my Countdown to Kitschmas hop -
Hmmm. I wonder what my kids would think if I went out in public with a bonnet on my head? LOL!Delete
How cute! How about Shultz in a Bonnet? (-:ReplyDelete
Now that would be funny!Delete
So adorable. We do like to play dolls with our daughters, and dress them up!ReplyDelete
I liked to dress up my daughter when she was a baby, but I never went to those legnths to play dress-up with her!Delete
I used to love dressing up my girls when they were babies, too!ReplyDelete
I think a lot of moms do.Delete
Cute picture and I love the bonnet!ReplyDelete
You know the first thing I noticed about this picture (other than the bonnet)?? The fact that I can tell that baby is you! I think it's mostly in the eyes :)ReplyDelete
Such a cute pic! Thanks for participating :)
I do resemble myself, don't I? LOL! And actually, now that you mention it, I do think it has something to do with my eyes. Interesting.Delete
Thanks for hosting this blogfest! It's been fun seeing everyone's baby pictures!
Aw, you look quite charming in your lovely bonnet! I think you should totally bring that style back! ;-)ReplyDelete
Some Dark Romantic
I think I'll go shopping right now and pick out a few. LOL!Delete
My kids got their clothes changed when the odor of spit up became so strong I couldn't stand it anymore.ReplyDelete
That's pretty much how I operated, too! LOL!Delete
I laughed out loud because that picture is just so darn adorable. I had three daughters and their mother used to dress them up so cute. After their mother left us, I continued to love to take my girls shopping and look for the cutest clothes I could find and they would help pick them out. I always thought they were pretty nicely dressed when they were kids. Now a couple of them have their own little girls to dress up and I'm sure they're having as much fun as I did.ReplyDelete

Awww! Girls have the cutest outfits to wear! I still like seeing them in the baby aisles!Delete
You look like a very happy little one. Sounds like you and your mom had fun even before you knew you were having fun. Thanks for stopping by! Cheers!!!ReplyDelete
Haha! We were both apparently having a ton of fun playing dress up!Delete
That photo is adorable and I LOVE the bonnet! Yeah, for bonnets!! :)ReplyDelete
They look cute on babies, don't they?Delete
So happy I managed to connect online today. I wouldn't like to miss your baby photo for the world. So pretty! HugsReplyDelete
Awww, thanks, Arni! I'm so glad you were able to make it! HUGS back!Delete
Oh that bonnet! Where on earth did she get it?! Cute doesn't even begin to describe it! :-)ReplyDelete
I have no idea where she found it. She had a knack for finding the prettiest baby clothes!Delete
Eek! That's adorable!ReplyDelete
The clothes...the biggest reason I wanted a girl (but never got her)...so I totally get your mom's thinking!ReplyDelete
There are some really cute clothes for baby girls!Delete
HA! Yes, your mom was apparently from a different time. My kids mostly just wore onesies because they were easy. Very cute though!ReplyDelete
I don't think I ever wore a onsie! LOL!Delete
Mom's just can't help dressing up their baby girls. That was one impressive bonnet!ReplyDelete
LOL! Glad you liked the bonnet!Delete
Sherry, trust me, it could have been worse. My baby face photo proves it. But yeah, I've got to admit... I kinda like you in that bonnet. :)ReplyDelete
I love the bonnet! I could see having done that once with my daughter, but I definitely never had the energy to dress her up every day. I feel like I should go get her a bonnet now... (she's 5).ReplyDelete

Do it! She'd probably love it.Delete
Absolutely adorable, Sherry!ReplyDelete
