Yellow Day
It's teacher appreciation week at my kids' elementary school. To celebrate, the students were asked to wear a certain color for each day. Today's color was yellow.
My son rummaged through his clothes, trying to find something yellow. The closest he could find was a neon green tie-dyed shirt. "This will have to do," he said.
As we walked out the door to go to the bus stop, I glanced down at his arm. It was covered in yellow marker.
"Seriously?" I said.
"Yeah," he replied. "Since I didn't have yellow clothes, I decided the next best thing was to make my skin yellow."
Hmmm. I have to hand it to him - that was some seriously creative thinking!

Hope it wasn't permanent marker though. Creative either way.
ReplyDeleteNo, it wasn't. I believe it was a hi-lighter.
DeleteHaha! Very creative!
ReplyDeleteThe kid never ceases to amaze me with his creativity!
DeleteToo funny, but I agree, that was very creative of him!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad at least that it washed off easily!
DeleteThat is creative. I like how the minds of children work.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I often wonder what goes on in their little heads!
DeleteThat's awesome! Bless him, it's amazing what little children think of! :3
ReplyDeleteYes, it is amazing. I'm just glad he didn't marker up his hair!

ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you. What an honor!
DeleteHilarious. I love it when kids come up with creative ideas - and when we support them :)
ReplyDeleteHe was thrilled that I didn't make him wash it off!
DeleteYour son has such a creative mind. It's great that you didn't make him wash it off. Did he say what everyone at school thought of his yellow skin?
