Twenty-six pets, that is. Bad news here at my abode. Do you remember the test tube tadpole that arrived in the mail? He died. I found him floating upside down in his habitat today.
My poor son was devasted. He shed quite a few tears over that little guy.
"Can we get another tadpole from Grandpa's pond when we go to visit him?" he asked.
"Buddy, I don't think we'll be transporting a tadpole four hours in the car. I think we'll just leave that tadpole at Grandpa's house."
He wasn't very happy.
Poor kid. In the last couple of days, he lost a frog and a tadpole. I hope the hermit crabs don't get any ideas!
Poor tadpole, suriving the mailman yet not the tank. That is life sometimes I guess.
ReplyDeleteYes. Very sad.
DeletePoor little guys. The tadpole and your son.
ReplyDeleteI sentiments exactly.
DeleteHow on earth do you manage 26 pets? Sounds like QUITE a handful!

A lot of those are fish. With the exception of the dog and the cat (who is outside all the time), they are all contained.
DeletePoor little guy! Poor tadpole and frog, too. My kids just finally got a cat after years of begging for another pet (our cats died two years ago). I don't think we'll be approaching 26 anytime soon!

It's so sad to lose a pet!
DeleteAwww your poor son. I hope he feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteAwww, poor little guy - the tadpole and your son =(

I remember catching a tadpole for a kid who had come over to my home when I was 8. We put it in a jar and I poked holes in the lid for the drive home. 10 mins before leaving, he tripped, breaking the jar.
ReplyDeleteWater everywhere and tadpole gone. Possibly squished.
I was 7.
that is so sad. having gone through stuff like that lots of times when I was a kid, I was crushed reading that. Maybe you have the next Jeff Corwin on your hands!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. It's always devastating. I still get torn when a pet passes away.
