My daughter likes to make weird concoctions in the kitchen. Today she made a brownie in a mug.
"Mama, come try this thing," she said. "It's really good."
"Okay. After I'm done teaching."
As soon as I was done, she dragged me into the kitchen and gave me a mug full of brown stuff. Then she gave me a spoon. She eagerly watched as I sampled her creation.
"Mmmmm. That's pretty good," I said. "What's in it?"
"Five tablespoons of sugar and five tablespoons of cocoa powder along with some other stuff."
Five tablespoons of sugar? Seriously? Now I'm really going to be bouncing off the walls!
Well now you can surely keep up and have some fun going on and playing in the mud..haha
ReplyDeleteI should be good 'til the sugar buzz wears off. Then watch me crash!
DeleteBut sugar is so tasty!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is!
DeleteI'd like to try that, but I wouldn't want to be bouncing around.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good recipe. She said she got it from some kind of "Five minute recipes" app on her ipod.
DeleteLOL - life through a kid's eyes is sometimes so much more fun, isn't it? I mean, who DOESN'T want to eat sugar and cocoa straight-up?
ReplyDeleteExactly. I wish I had thought of doing that when I was a kid!
DeleteI'll have her make up a batch and send it your way!
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy! : )
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little, a friend and I took plain cookies, flour, water and a whole bunch of spices (turmeric, chilli powder, cajun, paprika et all), salt and mixed it in a bowl calling it biscuit dough. We knew it wasnt good enough to eat, just enough to play with. My friend's younger brother came along while we were distracted, ate half the vile concoction and got the rest on his face and clothes.
ReplyDeleteWe got into so much trouble.
