A Little Bowl of Ice Cream

I was helping my son with his homework when my daughter came up to me.  "Mom, guess what I just did."

"What did you just do?" I asked.

"I just ate a whole cereal bowl of ice cream!"

"You did what?"  I couldn't believe my ears.

"Well, I went into the freezer to find some desert, and I saw the cherry cordial ice cream.   It looked so good, I couldn't resist.  So I got a cereal bowl and filled it to the top, and ate the whole thing."

"Oh my gosh."  I didn't know what else to say.

"So now I have a huge ice cream headache."

I looked at that girl.  "Yeah, and you probably have a huge ice cream belly ache!"

She grinned.  "I'm not having deserts for two weeks."

Yeah.  How about two years!

  1. Ice cream . . . can eat it everyday! (Just not cherry!)

    1. I am not a fan of plain old cherry, either. But add some chocolate, and it's yummy!

  2. I hope she's not sick, but if she's a little sick, it might teach her an important lesson.

  3. Oooooh. She probably had a head rush and everything. I just had a tablespoon full of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream last night. Then I rushed from the kitchen before I ate more.

Hope your daughter is feeling ok.

    1. Haha! My daughter is okay. I wish my daughter would learn how to rush out of the kitchen away from the freezer!

  4. It must've been really good.

    I don't think it'll become a habit.

  6. I also use cereal bowls. If I used smaller bowls, I'd just go back and fill them up again anyway. ;)

  8. I love ice cream too! My husband was overseas with the military, went on a diet, and decided to only have a treat on Sundays and his treat was always ice cream. The first Sunday back home from overseas, he said we are going to Baskin Robbins and we are getting a pint of ice cream and eating the whole thing! I told him I have never eaten that much ice cream in my life at once, but I got my pint and enjoyed every bite! The tradition didn't stick-- but enjoyed the ice cream while we had our Sunday outings.

    1. It's probably a good thing the tradition didn't stick, or it might have stuck where you wouldn't have wanted it to stick.

  9. I'm usually not a sweet tooth but I can't resist ice cream. I try to steer clear away from it when watching tv because I can finish a pint especially those Haagen Dazs belgian chocolate.

  11. Ice cream. Yum! My guys like to eat cereal bowls of ice cream. I bought those waffle bowls, figuring their portions would be smaller. Nope. They just fill them fuller.
