Bucket List Blog Hop
It's time for the Bucket List Blog Hop. Susanne Drazic and I are co-hosting it. To participate, you just have to come up with a list of things you want to do before you "kick the bucket."
Without further ado, I will present my list:
1. Sky dive
2. Zip-line (preferably through a Costa Rican rain forest)
3. Go white water rafting (I think the Grand Canyon would be a cool place to do this.)
4. Dive the Great Barrier Reef. (I've done my fair share of SCUBA diving around the world, but I have yet to dive the Great Barrier Reef.)
5. Set foot on all the continents
6. Visit all fifty states
7. Learn to speak French fluently
8. Watch a shuttle launch (I may be a little late for this one, so I might have to switch this to riding on Virgin Galactic's SpaceShip Two into outer space.)
9. Learn to tango
10. Ride an elephant (I've ridden a camel, but never an elephant.)
11. Ride a gondola in Venice, Italy
12. Go on an African safari
13. Visit Machu Picchu
14. Tour the White House
15. Take a helicopter ride over Kauai
16. See a performance at the Sydney Opera House
17. Hold a koala bear
18. Visit Area 51 and see if there are really aliens there
19. Visit Mount Rushmore
20. Tour the Neuschwanstein Castle
I think, after looking at my list, that I will have to seriously write a best-seller or do something pretty amazing to earn a lot of money! I have big dreams!
What do you want to do before you die? If you'd like to share them as part of the Bucket List Blog Hop, you can sign up here.

That's a huge list! You can always take the shuttle ride at Disney.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Been there. Done that!
DeleteI rode an elephant when I was 3 but I don't really remember it. I'd love to sky dive but I don't think my husband would let me. He's Mr. Safety.
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about the sky diving. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.
DeleteSherry, that is an awesome bucket list! I hope you get to do a lot of those things on your list. Thanks so much for co-hosting this blog hop with me!
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun reading everybody's bucket lists! I'm glad we decided to to this.
DeleteOoh, ooh ... I've zip-lined in Jamaica. It was a blast! Loved it. And I've white-water rafted, too. That's a great time as well. Haven't sky dived. Always wanted to, but I feel too dang old to do it now. LOL Our best man from our wedding is a certified guide jumper. He's been doing it for over 20 years. I think he's nuts. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou have to be a little nuts to do it. And I don't think you're too old. I heard that an 87 year old woman did it, and she loved it!
Deleteyes to tango, no to elephant or any other animal riding, you wouldn't enjoy them riding you, would you? :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I think the weight differential would make it a little tough for any sizable creature to ride me!
DeleteI have one in common with you. And two that I've already done (Venice + speaking French). Fun blog hop.
ReplyDeleteI really need to work on the French. I can read a decent amount, but I'm horrible at speaking it!
DeleteLOL! Area 51... As if that place really exists. *shifty eyes* What an awesome list, Sherry. You make me want to add to mine.
ReplyDeleteI'm positive there are aliens in Area 51. And I'm going to prove it. ;0)
DeleteThough I have visited Venice as 'boats'/water and I do not mix I sadly decided not to try a Gondola. I'm with you on nos. 9 and 17 though and can hardly believe that no. 20 is also on my list.

I heard they are expensive, but if I ever get to Venice, I definitely have to go on one of those!
DeleteGreat list! Touring the Neuschwanstein Castle would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI agree. That's why it's on my list!
DeleteI'll happily join you on your flight into space! I've ridden on a gondola in Venice, and it was a wonderful experience!
ReplyDeleteLucky you! I wonder if they will serve astronaut ice cream up there. ;0)
DeleteWhat a fun list! It's kind of crazy to think I've actually done a lot of things on your list. Area 51--we should plan a field trip.
ReplyDeleteThat would be fun. Let's do it!
DeleteI would be too afraid to skydive, but rising an elephant would be neat!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to go on an African safari and see if I can convince one of those beasts to let me ride it. ;0)
DeleteYou won't regret going to Mt. Rushmore! It is astonshing! Visiting the local Crazy Horse Monument and Custer Memorial Park too. The area is rich in wildlife and just gorgeous. Loved the list!
ReplyDeleteNow I really want to go see it! Sounds like you had an awesome trip there.
DeleteThis is a great list Sherry! Sky Dive.. wow you're v brave. Hold a Koala bear Awww.. cute. I'd quite like to tour the White house too.. didn't think of that :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'm just plain crazy! But I think sky diving would be a ton of fun!
DeleteYou are much braver than I am, Sherry. No sky diving or ziplining for me! Machu Picchu and Mount Rushmore would be cool places to see, though. My cousin has been to Machu Picchu AND ziplined through the Costa Rican rainforest and found both to be thrilling experiences.
ReplyDeleteYour cousin is lucky! I hope I can fit all this into my lifetime before I get too old.
DeleteI FORGOT TO DO THE BUCKET LIST BLOG HOP! I'll do it right now. I love your list. You've already done a lot of interesting stuff, Missy.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
That's okay, Janie. I'll hop over and see what's on your list. Yes, I have done a lot of interesting things. But there are always more to do!
DeleteThat is an amazing list. You can so make all those things happen. Unfortunately, I don't have a list. I must be the most boring person ever.
ReplyDeleteI bet if you sat down and thought about it, you'd come up with something.
DeleteThe Salmon River in Idaho has better rapids and I can set you up (My uncle runs a company out of Riggins)... I was a rafting guide once upon a time--just took my kids for the first time this summer. Great list! Totally with you on zip lining through Costa Rican rain forest--that sounds excellent!
ReplyDeleteReally? Okay. I will contact you, and we'll see about this Salmon River! Thanks!
DeleteWOW!!! Awesome Bucket List. This looks like fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be a blast to do all of this. Now to go earn the money to do it . . . ;0)
DeleteGreat list and I want to ride an elephant! Hadn't thought of that and never rode a camel, either. I want to do both!
ReplyDeleteI rode a camel in Israel. It was fun. Although camels can be a little obstinate. Mine seemed to have a thing for eating newspapers. He found one on the side of the road, and chewed on it the entire ride. :0)
DeleteI notice a lot of your list involves traveling to several places. What amazing places you have chosen. BTW, I rode on an elephant once, and take a clothespin to seal your nose shut when you get on for the ride.P U...LOL
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thanks for the advice. I hadn't thought of that!
DeleteGreat list, I also want to do all these amazing things!
ReplyDeleteIt just takes a little money.
Deletewhat, no cliff jumping?
ReplyDeleteUh, no. I know it's a huge shock, but cliff diving really doesn't appeal to me. ;0)
DeleteWhat an awesome and concrete list! I can tango & area 51 and Mt. Rushmore are awesome in very different ways. You'd have to talk to my grandma about Machu Pitchu, the Sydney Opera and holding the koala bear. Now I'm really excited to see what everyone has come up with!
ReplyDeleteReading all the lists certainly gives us more ideas of what we want to do!
DeleteIf you've ridden a camel, an elephant is a piece of cake, just broader. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe stinkier. ;0)
DeleteThat is one big list. Good luck getting into area 51
ReplyDeleteI'll have to come up with some super stealth move to sneak in. ;0)
DeleteI've ridden a camel as well, that is about it out of all of those haha got a huge list
ReplyDeleteIt is a rather ambitious list. I'm going to try to get as many of those done as I can!
DeleteGreat list!
ReplyDeleteExcept for #18. I'm pretty sure you just got flagged by the FBI!
:)
Great hop!
Heather
Haha! If I suddenly disappear, you'll know the FBI got me!
DeleteWhat a fabulous list! I need to add #12 and #18 to mine!
ReplyDeleteI think an African Safari would be fun. But maybe not right now with the Ebola stuff going around.
DeleteIf I make it into Area 51, I'll let you know what I find (if I make it out)!
And thank you for hosting such an awesome blog hop!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! This has been a lot of fun!
DeleteGreat list! Many of the things I want to do too. I'd love to visit the seven wonders of the world.
ReplyDeleteThat would be cool! Maybe I'll add that one to my list.
DeleteRiding an elephant sounds scary! This seems like a great blog hop. So sorry I missed it!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be scary only if you fall off, or if your elephant spots a mouse. ;0)
DeleteI have hundreds of dreams to do in my life mam. But I am not able to accomplish even one of them.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Maybe you should think of something simple you can do, that doesn't involve travel or money.
DeleteIf you go to the Grand Canyon, you have to visit me. I live like three hours away from it.
ReplyDeleteCool! I'll keep that in mind. Then you can meet my zoo crew! ;0)
DeleteAwesome list! Set foot on all continents is enough for me :)
ReplyDeleteYes, that in itself is quite an accomplishment!
DeleteWow! Your bucket list is extensive, Sherry... enough to keep you going for more than a lifetime...
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting such an awesome hop!
I hope I live long enough (and have money enough) to do it all!
DeleteThanks for this awesome blog hop. It was right up my alley and yet I was super late getting my list up. (Sorry). I love your list, so much I have already done nearly half of it. My daughter keeps asking us to take her to South America as we have already been to five continents. I haven't made it inside Area 51 . . . yet.
ReplyDeleteYou've done half of my list? Wow! That's awesome! I love your sense of adventure! Maybe you and I can go on a field trip to Area 51. ;0)
